Green Bay, Wis., August 17, 2026 – Breakthrough, a leading provider of sustainable fuel and freight solutions, is proud to announce that two of its team members have been selected as recipients of the 2026 Women in Supply Chain Forum™ Award by Supply & Demand Chain Executive. Emma Van Rossum, Director of Client Success II, was honored in the Workforce Innovator category, and Abby Vanooyen, Data Analyst II, was honored in the Rising Stars category.

The Women in Supply Chain Forum™ Award recognizes female leaders whose achievements, hard work, and vision are shaping the supply chain network. This year’s winners were selected for their impact across the industry and their ability to drive meaningful progress within their organizations and for the clients they serve.

Emma Van Rossum was recognized for her leadership in advancing practical AI adoption across Breakthrough’s Client Success team. As Director of Client Success II, Van Rossum has helped identify and scale AI-driven ways to streamline heavy workloads, improve internal efficiency, and enhance the client experience. Her work reflects a pragmatic approach to innovation by using emerging technology to help teams operate more effectively while continuing to deliver clear, actionable strategies that support measurable business value for clients.

Abby Vanooyen earned the Rising Stars distinction for her analytical expertise, versatility, and leadership in advancing Breakthrough’s global capabilities. As Data Analyst II, Vanooyen plays a critical role in supporting European business cases, new market entry, and implementation. Vanooyen has also helped Breakthrough develop their alternative energy pricing models, analyze emissions data, and build scalable processes. Her work has brought greater pricing clarity to emerging energy solutions, improved visibility into carbon impact, and strengthened Breakthrough’s ability to support sustainable transportation strategies across global markets.

“Emma and Abby represent the forward-thinking talent that helps Breakthrough move the industry ahead.” said Jenny Vander Zanden, Chief Operating Officer at Breakthrough. “Their recognition reflects the impact that thoughtful innovation and strong execution can have across the supply chain.”

The recognition of Van Rossum and Vanooyen highlights Breakthrough’s commitment to developing leaders who pair deep market expertise with innovative thinking to solve complex supply chain challenges for their clients.

“This award isn’t just a way to honor females in supply chain. It’s a representation of progress, it’s a symbol of growth, and it’s a way to celebrate achievements of all women in the supply chain who continue to pave the way for the next generation,” says Marina Mayer, editor-in-chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive and co-founder of the Women in Supply Chain Forum. “Of the 300-plus submissions received, 70 of them were self-submissions, the highest number of self-nominated applications ever in the history of this award. And, 44 of the submissions received were from male counterparts, also the highest number of male-submitted applications to-date. This year’s list of winners entails females making a difference in the supply chain, and I’m honored to share their journeys.”
